Artist exchange Hamburg and Dar es Salaam
\nDecember 27, 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 10th anniversary of the city partnership has been taken as an opportunity by the K\u00fcnstlerhaus FRISE to establish a sustainable exchange between Hamburg and the Tanzanian art scene. In addition to the direct exchange between two artists, this bridge is also intended to serve as a link to the pan-African art scene.<\/p>\n

The cooperation partner in Dar es Salaam is Nafasi Art Space.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to the pandemic, the first encounter takes place in virtual space: the FRISE presents an exhibition curated by Nafasi Art Space with works by Tanzanian artists dealing with the changed conditions during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the exhibition, a comprehensive show of the diverse cooperation between the two twin cities is presented in the virtual rooms.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be accompanied by an event program with live artist talks, music, and much more accompanied in the virtual spaces.<\/p>\n

Artist exchange Hamburg – Dar es Salaam.<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

The artist house FRISE has taken the 10th anniversary of the town twinning as an opportunity to establish a sustainable exchange between the Hamburg and Tanzanian art scenes. In addition to the direct exchange between two artists’ houses, this bridge is also intended to serve as a link with the overall African art scene.<\/em><\/p>\n

The cooperation partner in Dar es Salaam is the Nafasi Art Space.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to the pandemic, the first encounter will take place in the virtual space: FRISE presents an exhibition curated by Nafasi Art Space with works by Tanzanian artists who deal with the conditions during the pandemic.<\/em><\/p>\n
