OF\, engl. \n\nDas gesamte Programm findet sich unter: \nhttp://www.augen-blicke-afrika.de/blog/programm-2020/\n \nViele Grüße und bis bald \nInken Bruns \nDear friends of sister city patnership with Dar es Salaam \nUnfortunately\, the Corona numbers are increasing again\, but the\nAFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL „BLINK OF AN EYE“ will be staged again this year\nfrom 29.10-08.11.20\, under the appropriate hygiene conditions. \nAlso this time there are new films from the continent to admire.\nThis time there are even 12 films from East Africa. Two of them are in Kiswahili. \nEspecially interesting for many of us might be the new relase from 2020\n„Ndoto ya Samira – Samira’s dream“\nwho plays in Zanzibar. He can be seen on\non 05.11.20\nat 19:30\nat the Studio Kino in Bernstorff Strasse 93-95\, 22767 Hamburg\nIn Swahili / engl. OF\, engl. subtitles\nAdmission fee 9 Euro / reduced 7\,50 Euro. \nIt is certainly a good idea to reserve tickets early.\nBy telephone: 040 / 55775347\, from 17.00 o’clock until 22.00\nOnline: https://www.studio-kino.de/?inhalt=tickets.inc + 1 Euro booking fee.\nThe places are limited to half.\nGroups are asked to book together\, because then only extra seats on the sides have to be reserved and more people can see the film. \nNdoto ya Samira – Samira’s Dream\nTanzania / Ireland / Italy\, 2020\, R.: Nino Tropiano\, 89 min.\, Swahili / engl. OV\, engl. SubtitlesT\nThe young Samira lives in Nungwi\, a small fishing village in the north of the island Zanzibar\, which belongs to Tanzania. Only two decades ago\, the people here lived in an isolated community with strict religious rules. The change came from outside; increasingly\, Nungwi’s beautiful beach was discovered for tourism. Samira grows up between these worlds. She decides not to take the typical women’s path: marry early and have children. Her dream is to become a teacher and be financially independent. Samira is courageous and ready to take all the hurdles. She moves to Zanzibar City to attend a secondary school\, successfully struggles through the exams. But then her plan threatens to fail because she can no longer finance her further education. She must return to the village. But Samira finds a new way\, which should bring her closer to her goal. In his sensitive documentary\, the filmmaker has accompanied Samira for many years\, capturing her emotional highs and lows and\, along the way\, drawing a picture of Zanzibar society. \nThe entire program can be found at: \n\n\nProgramm 2020 \n\n\nMany greetings and see you soon\nInken Bruns
